The research activities of the group are organized into the following thematic areas:
- Water quality monitoring and risk modelling;
- Urban drainage and flood risk management;
- Water and wastewater treatment technologies (including on ships);
- Resource recovery technologies;
- Wastewater recycling and reuse;
- Water and Health;
The group has a modern water and wastewater laboratory where different physical, chemical and microbial parameters of concern in water and wastewater systems can be analyzed. The group also has strong collaboration with other laboratories in the country where different experiments related to resource recovery from wastewater systems, and water and wastewater hydraulics are undertaken.
The group is also actively involved in human resource capacity development in the water and sanitation sector at the national and international levels through the organization of short courses, seminars, and an extensive three-tier on-line program.
Most of the seminars, workshops and conferences organized by the group are spearheaded by cluster of research groups called the Water Cube. For more information about the group, the WaterCube and collaboration please contact Assoc. Prof. Razak Seidu (email@example.com)
